Growing in a well drained soil with some water and lots of sun.

Grow in dry to medium, well-drained soils in full sun to part shade.

 Plants perform best in a Mediterranean-type climate, and may show stress in hot and humid summers.

They must have sharply-drained soils.

 They dislike heavy clay.
